About this painting

Short knife strokes are laid in zigzag rows over the whole canvas, like a parquet floor in pastel, with periwinkle and violet massed at the top left and pink drifting in from the top right.

Mint and sage take over through the middle, a cool patch of pale blue sits just off centre, and the rows warm into peach and butter yellow before fading to near white at the bottom edge. Each stroke leaves a raised lip of paint with fine ridges inside it, so up close the surface looks plaited, and from further back it softens into a gradient running from deep to pale.

TA#417 is an original textured geometric painting showing pastel rainbow chevron blocks of thick knife paint, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Because the colour lightens from top to bottom, the canvas sits most comfortably a little high, its pale lower edge just above a headboard or bench and the deeper violet closer to the ceiling. Bleached oak, rattan, white linen and walls in warm white or soft grey all suit it, and a spa corridor painted pale sage would pick up the mint band. Morning daylight crossing it sideways catches the lip on every stroke.

Specified for guest room & suite, bedroom, spa & wellness and corridor & circulation; it reads as uplifting and calming.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#417 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#417 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Why does TA#417 look woven when seen close up?

Every block is one knife stroke pressed down and lifted, which leaves parallel ridges inside it, and neighbouring strokes are set at opposite diagonals. Rows of these alternating blocks make the zigzag, so the surface looks plaited near the wall and blurs into soft bands of colour from across the room.

Which wall colours sit best behind the violet, mint and peach bands of TA#417?

Warm white is the safest, since it continues the near-white lower edge. Pale sage picks up the mint band and a quiet lilac-grey echoes the top; strong pink walls are best avoided, because they compete with the pink corner and flatten the gradient.

Is TA#417 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#417 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#417 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
