About this painting

A blackbird with a bright yellow beak watches from the foot of a stand of irises, the darkest and most solid shape among lilac, white and dusky mauve blooms. The irises face forward on tall stems, some pale lilac with deep blue falls, some white with yellow-green throats, one mauve under a near-black crest.

Cream foxglove bells and green poppy seed heads fill the gaps, and the top of the canvas fades to a cloudy grey-white. The petals are worked in thin, layered, mottled paint with a soft chalky finish; the greens are muted sage and teal, so the flowers glow rather than shout.

IA#433 is an original impressionist floral painting showing white and lilac irises in a meadow with a blackbird, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Its colours are cool and chalky, so it suits a warm off-white, mushroom or putty wall, with aged timber, linen and hand-thrown pottery nearby. The blackbird sits low on the left, which argues for hanging the canvas lower than usual, over a long bench, a bedroom chest or a console, so the bird meets the eye of someone seated or passing instead of looking down from high on the wall.

Specified for guest room & suite, corridor & circulation, bedroom and living room; it reads as peaceful and romantic.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for IA#433 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on IA#433 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Why paint a blackbird into a field of irises in IA#433?

It anchors a picture that would otherwise float. The bird is the darkest shape on the canvas, set low so the tall flowers rise above it, and its yellow beak repeats the yellow at the heart of each iris. A blackbird is also a familiar garden singer of spring.

Does IA#433 work in a dark green or charcoal room?

Yes, and the contrast helps. Against charcoal or bottle green, the grey-white sky at the top becomes the brightest area and the white irises step forward. On a bright white wall the painting looks softer and more faded, so a deeper wall colour suits it better.

Is IA#433 a print or an original painting?

An original. IA#433 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of IA#433 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
