About this painting

Tall lavender spikes fan upward from a gathered bunch at the bottom of the canvas, purple against a pale periwinkle sky, with long green blades sweeping out on either side.

Each spike is made of short knife strokes stacked like scales, violet at the tips and deep indigo near the stems. Small orange blooms are scattered low at the left and higher at the right, the one warm colour in the picture and the reason it reads as lively rather than cool. Near the top, a patch of peach-cream breaks through the blue as if light were coming from behind the bunch.

TA#391 is an original textured floral painting showing bouquet of purple lavender spikes with orange accents, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Strong purple carries a long way, so it can close off a long corridor or face an entrance door, seen from several metres before anyone reaches it. The orange flecks give a cue for accessories: a terracotta pot, rust cushions or tan leather chairs. In a dining room it leans toward a Provençal table of linen and olive wood, and it sits on warm white walls better than on grey.

Specified for entryway & hallway, corridor & circulation, guest room & suite and dining room; it reads as uplifting and romantic.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#391 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#391 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Why are there orange flowers among the lavender in TA#391?

Orange sits opposite purple on the colour wheel, so a few small blooms make the lavender look deeper and the whole canvas warmer. Without them the palette would be purple, blue and green, all cool. They also hand a designer a colour to repeat in cushions, pottery or a table runner.

How does TA#391 read from down a hallway compared with up close?

From a distance the spikes merge into one fan of purple against blue, plainly a bunch of lavender. Up close they break into separate ridged knife strokes, overlapping, with flecks of green and white caught between them. In a corridor both views count, since people see it first from far off and then pass right beside it.

Is TA#391 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#391 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#391 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
