About this painting

Pale green lotus pads spill in from the left edge and the lower right of a cream canvas, leaving an open stretch of water between them where two small fish, one yellow and one orange, swim one above the other. A single pink lotus opens near the top, and a closed bud on a long stem leans out from the right.

The leaves are painted in fine streaked strokes that radiate from each stem, with a thin yellow-gold rim along every edge. Around them the cream ground is trowelled into rough swirls, so the water carries the heaviest texture on the canvas.

TA#464 is an original textured floral painting showing green lotus leaves with a pink lotus, bud and two small goldfish on cream plaster, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

In a bathroom or spa suite, hang it on a dry wall outside the splash zone, facing the bath or a treatment bed so the open water is what a reclining guest sees. The big leaves are cropped by the edges, giving a close view of a pond that holds up at full height in an entry. Pale green tiles, terrazzo and fluted glass sit well beside it.

Specified for spa & wellness, guest room & suite, bathroom and entryway & hallway; it reads as calming.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#464 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#464 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What does the lotus in TA#464 usually stand for?

Purity is the usual reading, since the lotus rises clean from muddy water, and an open flower beside a closed bud is often taken as growth still to come. Here both are kept small and soft, so the meaning stays in the background of a quiet pond scene.

Why is the cream water area so textured in TA#464?

The ground is laid on thickly and swirled, which gives the water movement without painting ripples. It is also the part that changes most with light: a low window light makes the swirls visible, while even overhead light leaves it reading as soft cream behind the leaves.

Is TA#464 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#464 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#464 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
