Sculpted green fern fronds on cream plaster wall decor

Half a dozen sculpted green leaves reach in from the right edge and fan toward the centre, leaving the left side of the canvas as open cream plaster. Each leaf stands proud of the ground with a carved central vein and notched edges, its surface scored in short diagonal strokes like the grain of a blade.

Colour shifts from deep green where the leaves overlap to bright yellow-green at the left-hand tips, as if lit from that side. The ground is rough and trowelled in loose swirls, and the leaves cast soft shadows onto it, so they look laid on rather than painted.
