About this painting

Two pale sage banana leaves rise through the middle of the canvas, every rib drawn as a fine light line from midrib to edge, with darker bottle-green leaves folding in behind and to either side. Their stems meet just above the bottom edge, as if the plant rises from below the frame.

The ground is cream rather than white, troweled in loose arcs that show as soft ridges around the leaves. Against that warm, rough background the leaves are smooth and close to lifelike, their green moving from grey mint on the lit leaf to deep forest where leaves overlap.

TA#99 is an original textured floral painting showing sage and dark green banana leaves on a cream plaster ground, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

The leaves fill the canvas almost edge to edge, so give it a plain wall with space around the frame rather than crowding it with shelves. It suits limewash, rattan, travertine and pale timber, and sits well against grey-green or putty walls that echo the darker leaves. In a corridor it works best at a turn or a dead end, where guests walk towards it instead of past it.

Specified for spa & wellness, bathroom, corridor & circulation and guest room & suite; it reads as calming and peaceful.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#99 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#99 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Is TA#99 painted in a realistic or a decorative style?

Mostly realistic: the ribs, the split edges and the overlap of the leaves are close to how banana plants look. What keeps it decorative is the background, a cream troweled ground with no depth or sky, so the leaves sit like a pressed botanical study on a plaster wall.

Would TA#99 suit a room that already has live plants?

Yes, if the plants are not banana or bird of paradise, whose broad leaves would compete with the painted ones. Fine-leaved plants such as ferns, olive or dried pampas contrast with the large shapes, and the sage of the central leaf matches eucalyptus and olive foliage closely.

Is TA#99 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#99 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#99 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
