About this painting

Pale sage fans pile up through the middle of a tall canvas like overlapping shells or the gills under a mushroom cap, each carved with fine ribs that spread from a narrow base. Across the bottom a broad cream banana leaf sweeps in on a slant, its midrib and parallel veins raised in plaster.

The top-left corner changes key again: dark bottle-green ridges, combed in wavy lines, the deepest colour on the canvas. Three zones, three textures and almost no flat ground anywhere, so the relief reads even where the colour is quiet.

TA#017 is an original textured floral painting showing sculpted sage fan shells with a cream banana leaf in relief, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a sculpted relief surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

At arm's length the ribs on each fan become legible, so it rewards a spot where people pause: above a slatted bench in a spa changing area, or opposite the bed in a guest suite, where it is the first thing seen on waking. Limewashed walls, pale oak, rattan and stoneware bring out the sage; keep busy tile away from it. A ceiling light mounted tight to the wall grazes the leaf veins and the combed corner, filling them with thin shadows.

Specified for spa & wellness, guest room & suite, bathroom and bedroom; it reads as calming and peaceful.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#017 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Sculpted relief is built up in layers with drying time between them, so it costs more than a flat painting of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#017 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Are the round forms in TA#017 shells, leaves or mushrooms?

They are left open. Each fan has fine ribs radiating from a narrow base, so it can read as a scallop shell, a ginkgo leaf or the underside of a mushroom cap. The cream banana leaf along the base tips the overall reading toward botanical rather than marine.

What does the dark combed corner add to TA#017?

Weight and a starting point. Without it the canvas would be pale green and cream from edge to edge. The bottle-green ridges in the upper left give the eye somewhere to begin, and their wavy lines lead down through the fans to the leaf at the bottom.

Is TA#017 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#017 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#017 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
