About this painting

A field of coarse steel-blue grit fills the upper canvas and breaks apart as it comes down, hanging in ragged tendrils over a smooth chalk-white base.

The blue is not one tone: denim, slate and paler powder-blue patches shift inside it, and white specks are scattered through the top like snow caught in torchlight. Where the grit ends it dissolves into beads and drips rather than a clean line, some reaching into the lower third. The base is nearly flat, with only faint vertical streaks, giving the heavy texture above somewhere quiet to fall into.

TA#142 is an original textured abstract painting showing granular blue textured field dissolving into a white ground with drips, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a sculpted relief surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Restful on a wall seen from a bed or a treatment couch, where the eye settles on the white rather than the grit. Pale oak, white stone, gray textiles and brushed nickel suit its cool palette; warm yellow walls make the blue look muddy. In a bathroom, place it away from direct splashes and steam. A grazing downlight from above lets each drip cast a tiny shadow, so the tendrils read clearly even from the doorway.

Specified for spa & wellness, guest room & suite, bathroom and bedroom; it reads as calming and moody.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#142 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Sculpted relief is built up in layers with drying time between them, so it costs more than a flat painting of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#142 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What does the dripping blue texture in TA#142 suggest?

It is abstract, but many people see frost, rain running down a window, or a night sky thinning into mist. The broken edge where the grit melts into white gives it that sense of something falling or thawing, without tying it to a single subject.

Could the steel blue of TA#142 be matched to a tile or fabric?

Yes. The steel, slate and denim blues are mixed by hand, so they can be pushed toward navy, a grayer storm blue or a soft duck-egg to match a sample, while the chalk-white base and the gritty-to-smooth structure stay as painted.

Is TA#142 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#142 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#142 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
