About this painting

Heavy slabs of caramel and chocolate brown press in from three edges of a cream canvas, leaving a pale, open channel down the middle. At top left a square caramel block overlaps a tilted near-black slab, a short dark arc hangs from the top edge, and a tall brown half-dome rises along the right side.

The paint is thick throughout. The caramel is scraped into a fine crosshatch, the right-hand arc carries long curved striations from a broad knife, and the cream ground is swept into horizontal ridges that are clearest along the top.

MA#235 is an original minimalist geometric painting showing caramel and dark brown arc shapes on a cream ground, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

These earthy browns belong with the materials of a restaurant dining room or a hotel bar: walnut tables, cognac leather, clay pots, rough linen. On a warm beige or greige wall the cream ground merges with the paint behind it, leaving the brown shapes to float. Light it from one side at a shallow angle to raise the knife ridges, and centre it over a console or round table so the open channel lines up with the furniture below.

Specified for restaurant & bar, guest room & suite, dining room and living room; it reads as cozy & warm.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for MA#235 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on MA#235 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

How does the impasto on MA#235 behave under a ceiling downlight?

Mounted near the wall, a downlight skims across the ridges, so the crosshatch on the caramel block and the striations in the right-hand arc throw small shadows and the surface looks almost carved. With flat, frontal light the texture softens and the shapes read as colour first.

What would pair with MA#235 in a two-piece arrangement?

A calmer canvas from the same cream and brown family: one with a single dark line or a small caramel shape on a large pale ground. MA#235 carries the weight of the pair, so its partner should leave even more cream showing, letting the two read as a set rather than rivals.

Is MA#235 a print or an original painting?

An original. MA#235 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of MA#235 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
