Studio photograph of the actual canvas. Yours is repainted to your dimensions, so brushwork will differ slightly — that is what an original is.

About this painting

A navy stream winds out of a bright, snow-filled wood and widens toward the viewer, its dark water broken by floating chunks of white. On the right a sunlit bank of deep snow rises beneath slim, pale trunks; on the left, blue-shadowed pines sag under their load.

Light comes from the far end of the stream, where the trees dissolve into a white glare, so the water pales as it recedes. Colour is limited to navy, cobalt, slate, cream and white, with warm brown in a few trunks. Snow is laid on heavily with the knife, and the near water is a patchwork of short, choppy strokes.

IA#405 is an original impressionist landscape painting showing snow-covered trees along a winter stream, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 11 standard sizes run from 36×18 in (91×46 cm) to 100×50 in (254×127 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Blue and white reads cold on its own, so give it warm materials to sit against: honey oak floors, camel boucle, cream plaster, a walnut side table. Its long proportion fills the wall above a deep sofa or daybed without reaching the ceiling. In a timber-lined boardroom it cools the room down, and in a mountain hotel's reception it suits a stone-faced wall, where the snow picks up the grey of the stone.

Specified for spa & wellness, meeting & boardroom, lobby & reception and living room; it reads as calming and peaceful.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for IA#405 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 36×18 in to 100×50 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on IA#405 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Where is the light coming from in IA#405?

From the far end of the stream. The trees there dissolve into a pale glare, the right-hand bank is lit cream and the left-hand pines fall into blue shadow, so a lamp on the right-hand side backs up the painted light, while one on the left works against it.

Is IA#405 too wintry to keep up all year?

Nothing in it is seasonal decoration: there are no figures, cabins or festive colours, only water, trees and snow. That keeps it appropriate in any month, and in summer the blue and white tend to read as cool and fresh rather than cold.

Is IA#405 a print or an original painting?

An original. IA#405 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of IA#405 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
