About this painting

A small white sun hangs in a coral haze above a dark blue sea, and its reflection spills down the water in cream, gold and tangerine to the bottom edge. The sky fills two thirds of the height, blended almost smooth: pale lemon at the top, a band of lavender-grey cloud, then peach and rose around the sun.

The lower third changes pace. Waves are broken into short navy and cobalt knife slabs with white caps, and the light path is stacked from gold, orange and magenta strokes that stand off the surface. Soft sky against raised sea gives the narrow canvas its depth.

IA#703 is an original impressionist seascape painting showing sunset over the sea with a bright sun path on impasto waves, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 11 standard sizes run from 18×36 in (46×91 cm) to 50×100 in (127×254 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

The 1:2 proportions are made for the slim walls most art cannot use: the dead end of a hotel corridor, the strip between two doors in a hallway, the narrow pier beside a lift lobby. Grey walls and pale stone floors suit it, because the coral sky becomes the warmest thing in a cool space. A recessed downlight directly above catches the raised strokes in the sea and leaves the smooth sky soft, which deepens the contrast.

Specified for corridor & circulation, lobby & reception, entryway & hallway and bedroom; it reads as uplifting and romantic.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for IA#703 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 18×36 in to 50×100 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on IA#703 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Which part of IA#703 carries the heaviest paint?

The sun's reflection on the water: short, stacked knife strokes of cream, gold, orange and magenta that sit visibly proud of the surface, with the surrounding waves only slightly lower. The sky above is nearly flat, so side light picks out texture only in the bottom third.

Will the coral and lavender of IA#703 sit with grey walls?

Yes. The lavender-grey cloud band is close to a mid grey, so the painting meets a grey wall without a hard edge, while the coral and gold make it read warmer than its surroundings. Blue-grey and warm greige walls both work; stark white makes the sky look paler and chalkier.

Is IA#703 a print or an original painting?

An original. IA#703 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of IA#703 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
