About this painting

A hill village of ochre and rose stone clings to a green slope beneath a long blue-grey mountain, with white clouds rolling across a turquoise sky. In front, the valley floor is cut into a patchwork of mint, sage and straw-coloured fields, divided by dark furrow lines and tracks.

The houses are built from dabs of terracotta, cream and brown that become walls and roofs only from a step back. One tall, thin rust-coloured form, a tower or a cypress, stands to the right of the village. Clouds and fields are laid on thickly in short strokes that follow the land.

IA#512 is an original impressionist landscape painting showing post-impressionist village at the foot of blue mountains with patchwork green fields and cloudy sky, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 10 standard sizes run from 24×24 in (61×61 cm) to 72×72 in (183×183 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Its mid-tone palette lets a landscape fill a wall without darkening the room: over a dining sideboard, above a restaurant banquette, or facing the bed in a farmhouse-style guest room. It looks most at home with oak, terracotta floor tiles, linen and olive or sage paint, and it holds up in plain daylight. Side light from a nearby window picks out the ridged clouds and the furrows in the fields.

Specified for guest room & suite, restaurant & bar, living room and dining room; it reads as peaceful and cozy & warm.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for IA#512 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 24×24 in to 72×72 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on IA#512 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Does IA#512 show a particular village?

No place is named for it. The arrangement, a stone village banked against a mountain with farmland spread below, is the kind of hill settlement found across southern Europe, and the buildings are kept loose enough that the scene reads as a memory of such a place rather than a map of one.

What gives the fields in IA#512 their patchwork look?

Each field is a separate block of colour, mint, sage, lime or straw, laid in strokes that run in a different direction from its neighbour, with the boundaries drawn in dark green. Because the stroke direction changes, each block catches light differently, so the patchwork still reads where two colours are close.

Is IA#512 a print or an original painting?

An original. IA#512 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of IA#512 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
