About this painting

A great tongue of orange, built up in overlapping scalloped plates of paint, pushes in from the right edge and fills the centre of a tall, narrow canvas.

Above and below it sit two dark masses of charcoal and deep navy, sprinkled with white and gold flecks like a night sky, each edged with a strip of sand beige. Between them, pale grey fields are combed with fine horizontal striations. Thin looping lines of white and black wander across everything, tying the warm and dark zones together. Palette knife marks are clearest in the orange, where each stroke leaves a raised lip that catches light.

CA#565 is an original colorful abstract painting showing vivid orange knife impasto with dark teal, grey and gold veins, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 11 standard sizes run from 18×36 in (46×91 cm) to 50×100 in (127×254 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

The one-to-two proportion is made for slim walls: the pier between two doors, a cladding panel beside a lobby lift, or the strip of wall next to a bar's back shelving. The orange carries a long way, so a restaurant can hang it where it shows through the front window after dark. Pair it with blackened steel, smoked mirror and grey stone, and keep any other orange in the room small.

Specified for restaurant & bar, lobby & reception, entryway & hallway and living room; it reads as bold and dramatic.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for CA#565 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 18×36 in to 50×100 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on CA#565 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Can the orange in CA#565 be swapped for teal or deep red?

Yes. The orange area is a single colour mass, so it can be repainted in teal, oxblood or ochre while the charcoal, grey and beige stay as they are. The white and black looping lines and the gold flecks remain, which keeps the composition recognisably the same.

What do the thin looping lines across CA#565 do?

They connect the zones. Without them the orange, the grey and the two dark masses would read as separate blocks. The white and black lines cross all of them, cutting through the middle of the orange and curling into the lower dark mass, so a glance carries from top to bottom of the canvas.

Is CA#565 a print or an original painting?

An original. CA#565 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of CA#565 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
