a large square abstract painting with a hot orange mass burning over the upper half of a cream ground, long black and charcoal strokes sweeping under it and pale gray scraped fields below, in palette-knife acrylic

Studio photograph of the actual canvas. Yours is repainted to your dimensions, so brushwork will differ slightly — that is what an original is.

About this painting

Hot orange fills the top of the canvas like a lit window, bleeding into apricot and butter cream along its left edge. To the right, charcoal and grey are scratched through with fine black lines, and a doubled black stroke sweeps up from the middle to the right edge like a branch bent by wind.

The lower half is quiet: pale grey and white scumbled thinly over cream, with one white drip running down near the bottom. The paint is flat, dragged and scraped rather than built up, and a few fine lines are scratched into the orange itself.

AA#896 is an original abstract painting showing orange colour burst with grey and black sweeping strokes on cream, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas. It is painted to order in any size; the 10 standard sizes run from 24×24 in (61×61 cm) to 72×72 in (183×183 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Because the colour is concentrated in the top half, keep the bottom edge close to the sofa back or console, about 15 to 20 cm above it, so the orange sits near eye level and the grey below reads as breathing room. Warm grey, greige or white walls suit it, with black leather, dark walnut or matt black metal echoing the stroke. At a home desk, place it on the wall you look up at, not the one behind the chair.

Specified for lobby & reception, gallery & retail, living room and home office; it reads as dramatic and bold.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for AA#896 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 24×24 in to 72×72 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Flat brushwork takes less paint and time than impasto or relief work of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on AA#896 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Is the orange in AA#896 closer to red or to yellow?

Closer to red. At its core it is a saturated vermilion orange, fading to apricot and butter yellow where it meets the cream on the left. In a scheme it pairs with rust, terracotta and cognac leather more readily than with lemon or mustard.

Why is the lower half of AA#896 left so empty?

The emptiness is deliberate. All the colour and line is pushed into the top and right, and the pale grey below gives it somewhere to settle. On a busy feature wall that quiet zone is what keeps the orange from turning loud.

Is AA#896 a print or an original painting?

An original. AA#896 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of AA#896 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
