Weathered teal and cream ridged circle abstract wall art

One great teal circle, scored with hundreds of fine concentric grooves, fills almost the whole canvas and spirals in to a small dark whorl at its centre.

The rings are combed into thick paint, like the grooves of a record or the cut face of a tree, and patches of navy and near-black show through the teal where the surface has been scraped back. At the corners a beige ground takes over, streaked with dark scratch marks that follow the curve outward, so the circle seems to spin past its own edge.
