About this painting

Two dark forested shores frame a pale lake that runs back to a line of low blue mountains, while the sky above breaks into hundreds of angled knife strokes. They fan inward from both upper corners in bottle green, navy, sky blue, mustard and buff, thinning towards a pale gap above the water, so the sky seems to funnel down to the distant peaks.

The trees are flat black silhouettes with ragged tops, the lake a few horizontal swipes of silver-white, and the foreground breaks into stacked bars of rust, grass green and slate. Paint stands up thickest in the sky, where each knife mark leaves a raised edge.

AA#1105 is an original abstract landscape painting showing lake between forested shores and blue mountains beneath a sky of radiating green, blue and beige knife strokes, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

The V of the sky leads straight down to the lake, so the canvas reads clearly across a long room and belongs at the end of a sight line: facing the doors of a lodge-style lobby, or across a dining room from its entrance. Natural timber, wool throws, slate and forest-green accents suit it. Hang the horizon at about standing eye height and the tall format feels like a view out across water.

Specified for guest room & suite, lobby & reception, living room and dining room; it reads as uplifting and peaceful.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for AA#1105 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on AA#1105 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Which lake does AA#1105 show?

No particular one. The dark pine shores, still water and low blue range are typical of northern lake country, from Scandinavia to Canada, so it suits a mountain lodge or a city flat without tying the scheme to one location.

How does the knife texture in AA#1105 look under side lighting?

Side light catches the raised edge of every stroke in the sky, so the radiating pattern becomes more pronounced, almost like feathers. The lake and the black trees are smoother, which keeps the lower half calm by contrast.

Is AA#1105 a print or an original painting?

An original. AA#1105 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of AA#1105 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
