About this painting

A tiny figure with a coral backpack stands at the foot of the canvas, looking up into a forest that fills every other inch with green. The foliage is built from thousands of drawn strokes: lime fan fronds at the centre, scale-like shrubs to the left, and a near-black canopy of fine hatching across the top.
