About this painting

Rose pink and coral bloom out of a near-black brown ground in AA#278, gathering in a loose cloud across the lower half like flowers glimpsed at dusk.

The upper half stays mostly dark, layered from black, umber and deep plum, broken only by a smudge of burnt orange at the top edge and tiny flecks of blue and cream at the top right. The paint is brushed on thickly and in every direction, so the pink areas are scuffed and mottled rather than smooth, with darker strokes scratched across them. Small peach patches on the right edge pick up the pink.

AA#278 is an original abstract painting showing moody black and dark brown field with rose pink and coral brushed blotches like dark blooms, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

In a bedroom or guest suite the dark ground keeps the wall quiet at night, while the rose catches the glow of a bedside lamp. It suits restaurant walls under low pendants, especially with burgundy velvet, brass and dark stained timber. On a stark white wall the dark field can read as a void; plaster pink, warm clay or deep green paint gives it a setting. Hang it alone with space around it rather than in a group.

Specified for restaurant & bar, guest room & suite, bedroom and living room; it reads as moody and romantic.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for AA#278 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on AA#278 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Are the pink shapes in AA#278 meant to be flowers?

Not literally. They are blotches of rose, coral and terracotta worked into a dark ground, but their soft, clustered edges suggest blooms seen in low light, which is why the canvas suits romantic, evening-led rooms. Nothing is drawn, so it can equally be read as pure colour.

How does AA#278 look in a brightly lit room?

Strong daylight reveals more structure: brushstrokes in the dark field, the plum undertones and the blue flecks at top right. In dim or candlelit rooms the dark area sinks into shadow and only the rose cloud stands out, which is far more dramatic. Choose the setting by when the room is used most.

Is AA#278 a print or an original painting?

An original. AA#278 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of AA#278 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
