About this painting

A narrow stepped lane climbs away between sunlit walls, passing under two dark arches toward a scrap of blue sky at the top of the canvas.

The walls are reduced to tall slabs of colour: ochre on the far left, a blue-grey pillar beside it, a rust terracotta wall in the middle with one slit window, and a dark chocolate edge down the right side. The steps are lavender-grey with thin brown risers, and a pool of white sunlight lies across the bottom right. The paint is dragged and scumbled, leaving a dry, chalky grain like old render.

WA#425 is an original wabi-sabi cityscape painting showing narrow stepped alley with a stone arch between ochre and terracotta walls, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Warm earth colours and a dry finish belong with lime plaster, terracotta tile, rough oak, rattan and linen. In a trattoria or tapas bar, hang it where seated diners face it, so the lane seems to lead out of the room. In a study without a window it gives a long view on a short wall. Warm white light keeps the ochre golden; cool light turns the walls dusty and grey.

Specified for corridor & circulation, restaurant & bar, entryway & hallway and home office; it reads as cozy & warm and peaceful.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for WA#425 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on WA#425 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Is the lane in WA#425 a real place?

No particular town is identified. Stepped lanes, arches between houses and limewashed walls are typical of old hill towns in southern Europe and North Africa, and here they are reduced to flat planes of colour, so it reads as a memory of a place rather than a record of one.

How does the perspective in WA#425 behave on a wall?

The steps narrow and rise toward a vanishing point near the top centre, so the picture has real depth, and the gaze climbs from the bright paving at the bottom. Hung at or a little above eye level, the lane appears to lead up and away from whoever stands in front of it.

Is WA#425 a print or an original painting?

An original. WA#425 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of WA#425 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
