About this painting

Eight white poppies stand at different heights across a grey, rain-streaked ground, the largest opening wide at the centre around a crown of ochre and gold stamens.

Their petals are thick and cupped, shaded at the edges in soft grey so each flower seems lit from above. Behind them the paint is dragged downward in vertical streaks of taupe and brown, like water running down glass, while dabs of yellow and gold scatter across the top and lower edges and pale sky-blue flecks show through in between. Thin yellow stems drop from the smaller blooms into the streaks.

TA#751 is an original textured floral painting showing white impasto poppies with gold centres on a grey and gold ground, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 11 standard sizes run from 36×18 in (91×46 cm) to 100×50 in (254×127 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

A row of flowers at roughly the same height suits a long wall seen from a seated position: a dining room, or the banquette side of a restaurant, with the bottom edge kept fairly low so the poppies sit near eye level for diners. Mustard velvet, rust leather and ochre cushions repeat the gold; black metal, grey stone and white walls suit the streaked ground. In a lobby, aim a spotlight down from the ceiling to keep the petals bright.

Specified for lobby & reception, restaurant & bar, dining room and living room; it reads as uplifting.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#751 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 36×18 in to 100×50 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#751 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Do white poppies carry a different meaning from red ones?

Red poppies are widely worn for remembrance, while white ones are often read as standing for peace. In TA#751 there is nothing sombre about them: with gold centres on soft grey, the flowers read as calm and light, which suits dining and lounge spaces.

How were the downward streaks behind the poppies in TA#751 made?

They are strokes of taupe, brown and grey pulled downward through wet paint. They give the background a soft, rain-on-glass look and hint at stems and shadows without drawing them, so the poppies seem to float above the field instead of standing on a fixed ground line.

Is TA#751 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#751 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#751 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
