About this painting

Two white wings spread upward and outward from a single point above the centre, as if something has just lifted into a blaze of pale gold light.

Every feather is a separate knife stroke of thick cream paint, pressed down and dragged so its tip curls off the surface, and the tips pick up hints of yellow from the glow behind. Below the wings, the blue breaks into knife-cut patches of cobalt, ultramarine and sky blue like a bank of cloud, and a pale shaft of light falls from where the wings meet.

TA#794 is an original textured folk-inspired painting showing thick white angel wings spread over a knife-textured blue sky with golden light, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 10 standard sizes run from 24×24 in (61×61 cm) to 72×72 in (183×183 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Saturated cobalt holds its own on deep walls such as charcoal, slate, navy panelling or dove grey, where the white feathers jump forward; on a white wall it looks lighter and airier. Hang it over a reception desk, a fireplace breast or a bed, and set its midpoint a few inches above standard eye height so the wings seem to open overhead. Pale oak, cream bouclé and brushed brass echo the warm glow at the top.

Specified for lobby & reception, gallery & retail, living room and bedroom; it reads as uplifting and dramatic.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#794 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 24×24 in to 72×72 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#794 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Is TA#794 a religious painting?

It shows no figure, only wings and light, so it suits a hotel lobby or a family lounge just as well as a chapel. Wings like these are often read as protection, freedom or a guardian presence; how far to take that is left to the viewer.

How do the feathers of TA#794 look in side light?

Each feather tip is a raised curl of paint, and a lamp off to one side casts a fringe of tiny shadows along both wings and the plumage seems to lift off the blue. Lit flat from the front, the wings look softer and brighter, closer to cloud.

Is TA#794 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#794 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#794 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
