About this painting

A crowded bouquet of yellow sunflowers bursts from a round blue-grey vase, and one fallen bloom lies on the table at its foot. The heads are cut from thick, overlapping knife strokes of lemon, saffron and orange around dark brown centres, while sprays of grey and white filler flowers break up the top of the arrangement. The vase is a tangle of slate blue and silver-white strokes that catches the light like glazed ceramic.

Behind the flowers the background shifts from cool lilac-grey at the top to olive and rust at the lower left, so the warm yellows never flatten against it.

TA#077 is an original textured floral painting showing yellow sunflowers in a blue-grey vase, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Cut flowers on a table belong where people sit down to eat: a dining room's far wall, a bistro banquette, the breakfast room of a small hotel. Hang it so the painted tabletop sits a little above the real one. Mustard, olive, terracotta and walnut pick up its warm side, and blue-grey stoneware or smoky glass on the table echoes the vase. Warm evening lamps deepen the oranges.

Specified for restaurant & bar, dining room, guest room & suite and living room; it reads as cozy & warm and uplifting.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#077 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#077 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Are the flowers in TA#077 all sunflowers?

Mostly, though not strictly. The larger heads with dark brown centres read as sunflowers, while several smaller, narrow-petalled blooms are closer to yellow gerberas. Sunflowers are often read as summer warmth and good cheer, and the mix keeps the bouquet looking freshly picked rather than botanical.

Why is there a flower lying on the table in TA#077?

It is a classic still-life device. The fallen bloom at the lower left breaks the symmetry of the vase, links the bouquet to the tabletop and adds a sense of the moment, as if the arrangement had just been made. It also balances the orange flowers leaning out on the right.

Is TA#077 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#077 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#077 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
