About this painting

A snow-crusted white peak rises out of a combed grey sky, and below it dark green ridges fold over one another down to a pale river cutting diagonally across the foot of the canvas. The sky is the unusual part: fine horizontal grooves drawn through grey plaster, which carry on between the hills as bands of mist or still water.

Against those level lines the land is built up thickly, the summit in rough white, the slopes in pine green and sage, with a yellow-green spur at lower left. The river is laid in smooth white ribbons that lead up toward the summit.

TA#475 is an original textured landscape painting showing textured snow-capped peak above dark green hills with a white winding river, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a sculpted relief surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

The grooved sky shifts as you move past it, so the painting suits a wall people walk toward: the far end of a corridor in a hotel, or the first wall a guest sees on opening the room door. Its greys and greens go with cool oak, slate, charcoal wool and white plaster walls, and fit an alpine or lodge-style scheme. Keep the lighting even and from above so the grooves stay crisp instead of glaring.

Specified for corridor & circulation, guest room & suite, entryway & hallway and bedroom; it reads as peaceful and calming.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#475 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Sculpted relief is built up in layers with drying time between them, so it costs more than a flat painting of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#475 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

How is the striped sky in TA#475 made?

By combing through the plaster in horizontal passes, so the sky is a field of parallel ridges and grooves rather than painted stripes. The same lines continue in the gaps between the hills, which is why the green slopes seem to float in layers of mist.

Is TA#475 a view of a real mountain?

No single summit is portrayed. The range is invented and arranged in stacked layers with mist between them, so it reads as a mountain view in general rather than a particular place, which keeps it neutral for guests from anywhere.

Is TA#475 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#475 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#475 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
