About this painting

A big scarlet poppy opens across the upper middle of the canvas, its petals cut in thick slabs of red, crimson and rose, with a wine-dark shadow tucked under the left side.

Below it the ground gets crowded: magenta and pink buds, a few yellow blooms, green leaves and a second red flower cropped by the right edge, all rising on stems scratched into wet paint with the tip of a knife. The white ground is troweled rather than smoothed, with flat plates and torn edges showing across the top third, and a faint blush in that white keeps the red from looking harsh.

TA#832 is an original textured floral painting showing red and pink knife-painted poppies with yellow buds and green stems on a white textured ground, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Scarlet at this strength holds its own at distance, so use it to end a long sightline: the back wall of a dining room as guests come in from the bar, the panel opposite a hotel's front doors, a hallway stopping at a blank wall. It stands up to dark walnut shelving and smoked glass, while blush plaster, terrazzo or burgundy marble pick up its crimson shadows. On the tallest sizes, set the bottom edge low so the main bloom lands near eye level.

Specified for restaurant & bar, lobby & reception, living room and entryway & hallway; it reads as uplifting and bold.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#832 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#832 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Is the big red bloom in TA#832 meant to be a poppy?

It reads as one: the crumpled, papery petals, the dark heart and the slender stems are all poppy traits. The smaller pink and magenta flowers below are looser and closer to cosmos or sweet peas, painted as quick impressions rather than botanical portraits.

How was the white background of TA#832 built up?

With a broad knife dragged through wet paint in short, overlapping passes that leave flat plates, lifted rims and small tears. The marks are most visible across the top third, where no flowers cover them, and they make the plain white shift as daylight moves around the room.

Is TA#832 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#832 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#832 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
