About this painting

Fat ribbons of paint loop and knot over one another from edge to edge, each laid with a single loaded brush so pink, coral, cream and grey streak together inside the same stroke. The largest is a bubblegum-pink hook curling across the lower centre; above it, a knot of coral red and a cream band striped with black wind through the middle.

Behind the ribbons sit flatter passages of dove grey and pale sky blue, and darker maroon and cocoa strokes push the lower right back into shadow. Every stroke keeps its bristle grooves, so the surface reads as raised, wet-looking paint even at a distance.

AA#197 is an original abstract painting showing swirling pink, red and grey ribbon-like brushstrokes, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

The pink here is warm and cut with grey, not sugary, so the canvas fits grown-up rooms with charcoal sofas, black leather, concrete or warm-grey walls. At its largest sizes it can stand on a ledge or the floor behind a sofa, lit by an arc lamp. In a lobby or long corridor people take it in while walking, and the looping strokes seem to move with them. Keep other busy abstracts off the same wall.

Specified for lobby & reception, corridor & circulation, gallery & retail and living room; it reads as bold and uplifting.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for AA#197 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on AA#197 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Does AA#197 need pink elsewhere in the space to look right?

No, and it often looks better without. The pink is mixed with grey, cream and maroon, so it reads as a warm neutral beside charcoal, black and taupe furnishings. One cushion or vase in coral or dusty rose is enough to tie it in; more starts to look themed.

How are the streaks inside each brushstroke of AA#197 made?

They come from a wide brush loaded with more than one colour and pulled through in one movement, so the colours stay side by side instead of blending. That is why a single ribbon can run pink along one edge, cream in the middle and grey along the other.

Is AA#197 a print or an original painting?

An original. AA#197 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of AA#197 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
