Studio photograph of the actual canvas. Yours is repainted to your dimensions, so brushwork will differ slightly — that is what an original is.

About this painting

A thick band of white foam slants from the top right corner toward the lower left, splitting the sea into two very different waters.

On the left, grey-blue swell breaks into hundreds of small whitecaps; at the lower right the water turns a deep, nearly black navy, laced with thin white veins where the foam is pulled apart. There is no horizon and no sand, because the view is straight down from above. The foam is the heaviest passage, laid in short overlapping crescents of paint like fish scales, and it stands well off the surface near the upper right edge.

TA#883 is an original textured seascape painting showing thick white sea foam over deep navy water seen from above, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

The navy corner is dark enough to anchor a white or pale stone wall, so it stands up to a double-height lobby or the turn of a long corridor, where people walk toward it head-on. Cool materials suit it best: grey-veined marble, chrome, black steel, white oak. Use neutral white bulbs rather than very warm ones, which turn the foam cream and muddy the navy.

Specified for corridor & circulation, lobby & reception, spa & wellness and entryway & hallway; it reads as dramatic and moody.

Colour palette

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#883 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#883 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Is TA#883 a shoreline or open sea?

Open sea, seen from directly above. There is no beach or horizon: the white band is a breaking line of foam crossing deep water, with dark navy on one side and choppy swell on the other. It gives a coastal scheme water and movement without the usual beach view.

How does the foam in TA#883 look under a downlight?

Lit from straight above, each crescent of foam casts a small shadow beneath it, so the white band looks deep and broken like real surf. Under flat, even light it reads more as a single bright stripe, which is why a directional fitting is worth the trouble here.

Is TA#883 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#883 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#883 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
