About this painting

Two tapering bands of cinnamon-brown plaster pour down from the top edge like veins through cut stone, the wider one reaching almost to the bottom, the narrower stopping just past halfway.

Their surface is raked into fine parallel grooves running with the flow, while the cream ground between them is smooth and faintly blush. Thin dark cracks wander across the pale areas the way fissures run through marble, and a narrow brown sliver at the lower left balances the heavier band. Nothing here is figurative; the interest lies in grain, direction and raked plaster set against smooth.

TA#869 is an original textured abstract painting showing brown and cream marble-like plaster veins, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a sculpted relief surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Warm browns sit naturally with travertine, honed limestone, walnut veneer and bronze-toned hardware, and beside real stone the canvas reads as a painted counterpart rather than an imitation. Wash it with light from directly above: the grooves in the brown bands then show as fine shadow lines while the cream stays bright. Avoid hanging it opposite a glossy, strongly veined marble wall, where two sets of veins would compete.

Specified for lobby & reception, spa & wellness, corridor & circulation and entryway & hallway; it reads as calming and cozy & warm.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#869 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Sculpted relief is built up in layers with drying time between them, so it costs more than a flat painting of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#869 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Which stone does the veining in TA#869 resemble?

Closest is a cream marble crossed by heavy rust-brown veins, though no specific quarry stone is copied. The combed grooves inside the brown bands also recall wood grain, which is why it bridges stone and timber finishes in the same room.

Where is the raised texture heaviest on TA#869?

In the two brown bands, which are built up and then combed into tight grooves running top to bottom. The cream areas are far flatter, broken only by thin dark crack lines, so in side light the bands stand out like raised seams across a smooth slab.

Is TA#869 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#869 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#869 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
