About this painting

Closely spaced gold lines run straight down a black panel, then bend at the centre into two nested fans of arcs that pivot around a single point.

The surface is built as ridges, each line a raised edge with gold along its crest and matte black in the groove beside it. A vertical seam splits the composition: on the left the lines fall from the top and curve inward below, on the right they curve outward above and drop straight below. The pattern has half-turn symmetry, which gives it a steady, mechanical rhythm, and wherever a lamp falls the gold brightens in a band while the rest stays dark.

MA#383 is an original minimalist geometric painting showing black slatted panel with a gold-lit arc of lines, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a sculpted relief surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Its height and dark ground suit the far end of a corridor, the wall behind a back bar or a lift lobby where guests stand and wait. A pure black wall swallows the panel's edge, so set it on mid-grey, warm stone or pale plaster. Downlights from straight above keep the grooves dark and the crests bright; an arc floor lamp standing beside it lights one sweep of gold and leaves the rest in shadow.

Specified for lobby & reception, restaurant & bar, corridor & circulation and entryway & hallway; it reads as dramatic and bold.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for MA#383 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Sculpted relief is built up in layers with drying time between them, so it costs more than a flat painting of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on MA#383 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Is there a right way up for MA#383?

Not in practice. The two fans of arcs mirror each other through the centre point, so the panel looks identical when rotated half a turn and cannot be hung the wrong way up. What does change its look is where the light comes from, since only the lit crests turn gold.

How do the ridges of MA#383 look from an angle?

Seen obliquely, the raised lines overlap and the black grooves close up, so the panel reads as a dense sheet of gold. Straight on, the grooves open and the pattern turns graphic. In a corridor that shift plays out as people walk towards it, which keeps the panel from looking static.

Is MA#383 a print or an original painting?

An original. MA#383 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of MA#383 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
