About this painting

More than twenty black bars stand shoulder to shoulder, their tips tracing a shallow valley that dips through the middle of the canvas and climbs to the top right corner. Below a ragged line each bar narrows into a single drip that runs straight down to the bottom edge.

Every tip ends in a small comma-shaped flick where the brush lifted away. Behind the bars the ground is a soft grey haze rather than clean white, so the hardest contrast is saved for the lower half, where black lines stripe bare white.

MA#014 is an original minimalist geometric painting showing row of black ink bars with long drips forming a wave line, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

With no colour to clash, it holds its own on a long white corridor or beside a lift lobby, where people pass at walking pace and catch the rise of the bar line from the side. Matt black door hardware, pale oak and polished concrete suit it. On a tall entrance wall the larger sizes let the drips fall almost to the skirting while the bars sit at eye level.

Specified for corridor & circulation, gallery & retail, workspace & office and entryway & hallway; it reads as moody and dramatic.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for MA#014 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Flat brushwork takes less paint and time than impasto or relief work of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on MA#014 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What do the black bars in MA#014 represent?

Nothing literal. They are abstract upright ink strokes whose tips make a dipped wave and whose drips run off below. People read reeds, piano keys or a city skyline into them, and that openness is why the piece sits easily in shared spaces.

Will the grey haze at the top of MA#014 show on a white wall?

Yes. The upper ground is a soft grey wash, not bare white, so even on a white wall the canvas reads as its own surface instead of merging into the plaster. On a warm white wall the grey looks slightly cooler, which sharpens the black.

Is MA#014 a print or an original painting?

An original. MA#014 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of MA#014 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
