About this painting

Orange goldfish slip out of a glass on a rainy windowsill and hang in the wet air beyond it, as if the downpour were deep enough to swim through. Two stay in the water of the tumbler; three more drift among the raindrops in front of dark green garden foliage.

A blue lace curtain, laid on in heavy streaked strokes, fills the left edge, and an ochre window frame boxes the view. On the sill a glass dish holds two oranges in a pool of warm light, and white flicks of rain spread over the whole pane so the deep greens glitter.

HA#373 is an original hyperrealist still life painting showing goldfish swimming around a glass by a rain-streaked window, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

In a restaurant it works best facing a banquette, at seated eye level, where diners have time to notice the fish floating in the rain. In an entrance hall it gives an enclosed, windowless space a view out. The cobalt and bottle greens sit well against charcoal slats, green velvet and dark stone floors, while on pale plaster the painted window looks brighter still. Keep the lighting warm and low so the ochre frame and the fruit glow.

Specified for corridor & circulation, restaurant & bar, living room and entryway & hallway; it reads as moody and cozy & warm.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for HA#373 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on HA#373 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Why are some of the goldfish in HA#373 outside the glass?

It is a piece of dream logic. The rain on the window is painted so densely that three fish seem to swim through it against the trees, while two stay in the tumbler. That quiet surreal turn is what people notice on a second look, and it gives an otherwise calm still life a story.

Is HA#373 dark enough to need its own light?

Yes, it benefits from one. Most of the canvas is deep bottle green and cobalt, so in a dim hallway it can sink towards black. A single warm spot aimed at the windowsill picks out the orange fish, the fruit and the white rain flecks, which are what make the picture read.

Is HA#373 a print or an original painting?

An original. HA#373 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of HA#373 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
