About this painting

One huge bloom bursts across the wide canvas, its hot orange-red core throwing out petals of saffron, coral, pink, lilac and cream.

The flower sits a little left of centre and is too big for its frame: petals run off the top and bottom edges, which makes it feel close and in motion. Each petal is a single thick knife stroke, its edges standing up as ridges. Around it the background splits, with violet, plum and turquoise dabs crowding the left and lower right while the upper right opens into a creamy field scattered with a few orange and purple flecks.

CA#506 is an original colorful floral painting showing large palette-knife dahlia in orange, pink and yellow with blue and purple splashes, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 24×20 in (61×51 cm) to 80×60 in (203×153 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

The wide format fits long walls: above a banquette run in a restaurant, behind a bar counter facing guests as they walk in, or over a dining sideboard. Since the bloom sits left of centre and the cream opening is on the right, the canvas leans visually left; balance it with a lamp or tall plant on the right. Walnut, brass, terracotta and deep teal velvet each pick up something from the petals.

Specified for restaurant & bar, lobby & reception, dining room and living room; it reads as bold and uplifting.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for CA#506 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 24×20 in to 80×60 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on CA#506 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Why do the petals of CA#506 run off the edges?

Cropping brings the flower close, as if you were leaning over a single bloom, and stops the canvas reading as a tidy botanical study. It also lets the wide format hold one subject from edge to edge without empty strips at the sides.

Where is the knife texture heaviest on CA#506?

In the petals around the core, where paint is pushed into raised, curling edges; the background dabs are thinner. Under candles or low pendants in a dining room those edges catch warm light, so the bloom looks more sculpted in the evening than in daylight.

Is CA#506 a print or an original painting?

An original. CA#506 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of CA#506 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
