About this painting

Tilted planes of lemon, ochre, orange and cobalt stack up like sunlit façades and awnings, and at the bottom of the canvas two small figures, one in blue and one in rust red, walk through a patch of white light.

In the upper half the buildings dissolve: lime-yellow light crossed by turquoise and pink bars and fine white lines running on the diagonal. Lower down the shapes stand upright and blockier, like walls in shade, in violet, cobalt and burnt orange. Flat-edged knife slabs overlap without blending, so each colour stays clean, and the two tiny figures give the tilted city its scale.

CA#173 is an original colorful cityscape painting showing bright geometric planes suggesting sunlit buildings with two small figures, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 10 standard sizes run from 24×24 in (61×61 cm) to 72×72 in (183×183 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Square and bright, it holds the centre of a wall rather than one end: above a desk facing the door, over a console in a reception area, or in a bay between bookshelves. The lemon-heavy top half lifts a north-facing or windowless room that feels flat by day. Cobalt upholstery opposite picks up the blue figure and blue planes, and white lacquer or pale grey joinery lets the yellow do the work.

Specified for workspace & office, lobby & reception, living room and home office; it reads as uplifting and bold.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for CA#173 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 24×24 in to 72×72 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on CA#173 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Who are the two figures at the bottom of CA#173?

Anonymous passers-by, one in blue and one in rust red, each painted with a few strokes. They turn an abstract arrangement of planes into a street scene, and because they are so small against the buildings, they make the canvas feel larger than it is.

Does the yellow in CA#173 change between daylight and warm lamps?

Yes. In daylight the top half is a sharp lemon-lime; under warm 2700K lamps it shifts toward gold and the cobalt planes deepen, so the scene looks more like late afternoon. Check it in the room's evening light if the space is used mainly after dark.

Is CA#173 a print or an original painting?

An original. CA#173 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of CA#173 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
