Warm and cool split this square on a diagonal: the left side is a dense drift of lemon, amber, peach and olive flecks like fallen leaves, while the upper right turns to cobalt blue splashed with white.

In the lower right the blue deepens into a teal pool scored with tiny pale marks that look almost like handwriting. A single large lemon-yellow shape crosses into the blue just right of centre and carries the warm side over the divide. Every fleck is laid on with a knife, so the surface is crowded with small raised edges that catch light from any angle.
