About this painting

Tongues of teal water reach diagonally into a wide cream beach, seen as if from the air, with the deepest green-blue gathered in the top right corner.

Two small pools of bright turquoise sit stranded on the sand near the top, and a trail of dark brown specks crosses the beach beside them. The longest tongue of teal is edged with rust-brown silt where it meets the sand, and along the left side the cream breaks into white, lacy foam.
