About this painting

Hundreds of fine silver spines fly outward from a small charcoal disc, forming a starburst that fills most of the square but stops short of its edges.

The spines are built up in raised plaster, thin and needle-like, with darker grey strands threaded between the silver so the burst shimmers instead of glaring. Their tips are ragged and uneven, which keeps the circle from looking mechanical. The core is the most worked area, a crusted knot of grey-blue. Around it the ground shifts from pale warm grey at the top to a deeper tone at the lower left, giving the burst a soft halo.

TA#319 is an original textured geometric painting showing radiating silver-grey starburst with a dark core, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a sculpted relief surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 10 standard sizes run from 24×24 in (61×61 cm) to 72×72 in (183×183 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

A round burst on a square asks for a symmetrical setting: centre it over a long credenza, a reception counter or a single display plinth in a showroom, with the dark core at about standing eye level. The silver turns coolest against charcoal panelling, smoked glass and grey stone, and warmer beside walnut and taupe upholstery. A narrow beam aimed steeply down from the ceiling grazes the spines and doubles their depth with shadow.

Specified for lobby & reception, gallery & retail, meeting & boardroom and living room; it reads as dramatic.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#319 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 24×24 in to 72×72 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Sculpted relief is built up in layers with drying time between them, so it costs more than a flat painting of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#319 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Is TA#319 meant to show something in particular?

No, it is an abstract radial form rather than a picture of one thing. Some see a sea urchin, some a burst of light, and the dark core can look like the pupil of an eye. That openness helps in a lobby or showroom, where one wall has to suit many visitors.

How does the surface of TA#319 change when seen from an angle?

Head-on, the burst is a pale circle with a dark centre. From the side, the raised spines separate and throw thin shadows across the grey ground, so the circle looks bristled and three-dimensional. Along a corridor or in a reception area, the piece shifts as people walk past it.

Is TA#319 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#319 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#319 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
