About this painting

Two river stones sit stacked on a cream ground, a pale taupe oval hovering just above a broad terracotta stone that fills most of the lower half.

Both forms are modelled in plaster and stand slightly proud of the background, their faces dragged and pitted like weathered rock, while the ground around them is trowelled in loose, chalky sweeps. A soft brown shadow runs under the rim of the lower stone and gives it weight. The detail that holds the picture is the thin seam of cream between the two: they almost touch and never do, so the stack looks balanced rather than heavy.

MA#364 is an original minimalist abstract painting showing two stacked pebble forms in beige and terracotta, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a sculpted relief surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Against charcoal battens or dark-stained timber the cream ground turns into a pale column and the stones carry across a room; on a warm off-white or limewashed wall the effect becomes tonal and hushed. Hang it where people stop rather than pass by: across from a freestanding bath, above a long low bench, or on the wall a bed faces. Terracotta pottery, raw oak and bouclé repeat its colours without competing with it.

Specified for spa & wellness, guest room & suite, bathroom and living room; it reads as cozy & warm and calming.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for MA#364 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Sculpted relief is built up in layers with drying time between them, so it costs more than a flat painting of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on MA#364 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Is the stacked-stone image in MA#364 meant to mean something?

It borrows the balanced stone stacks found on shorelines and mountain paths, which are often read as signs of steadiness and patience. The canvas keeps that idea to its simplest: two forms, one resting on the other, with nothing else in the picture to explain.

Does the plaster surface of MA#364 change how its colours look?

Yes, a little. The pits and drag marks break the terracotta into lighter and darker flecks, so the lower stone looks warmer and more mottled than a flat swatch of the same colour, and the taupe stone takes on a chalky, stony finish. Match fabrics to a photo of the surface rather than to a paint chip.

Is MA#364 a print or an original painting?

An original. MA#364 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of MA#364 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
