About this painting

A deep oxblood plane fills most of the left half of the canvas, its angled edges cutting against pale warm-grey and white shapes that overlap like folded card. A slim cream sliver slants down from the top edge into the middle, slipping between the dark plane and a mid-taupe quadrilateral with one softly rounded corner.

The maroon is not a dead flat colour: faint cloudy variations make it look like stained leather or dark wood. Elsewhere the surface stays light and matte, and the brightest white is saved for the top left corner and a strip at the lower right, bracketing the dark shape on a diagonal.

MA#020 is an original minimalist geometric painting showing flat angular planes in dark maroon, grey and white, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

The dark mass suits a boardroom or executive office furnished in walnut, oxblood leather and bronze, where it repeats colours already in the room. In a reception area, set it on a pale plaster or greige wall so the maroon has contrast to push against. Since its weight sits on the left, hang it to the right of a desk or table so the dark side faces into the room.

Specified for meeting & boardroom, workspace & office, lobby & reception and home office; it reads as moody and bold.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for MA#020 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Flat brushwork takes less paint and time than impasto or relief work of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on MA#020 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Is the red closer to burgundy or brick?

Burgundy, and darker still. In most light the main shape reads as oxblood, close to brown-black, with the red showing only in daylight. It sits easily with dark timber, tan leather and forest green, and does not fight terracotta or a true red.

Do the shapes represent anything?

Nothing literal. They are flat planes laid over one another at angles, a little like sheets of paper or architectural panels catching light. The cream sliver works as a gap of light between the dark and pale sides, and that is what gives a flat composition its depth.

Is MA#020 a print or an original painting?

An original. MA#020 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of MA#020 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
