Scraped orange and peach color field canvas painting

Orange, tangerine and pale peach are dragged across the tall canvas in layer after layer, each pass catching only the high points of the one beneath. Where the paint skips, flecks of white and blush pink show through, so every stroke ends in a broken, crumbly edge.

The top band is the hottest, a red-leaning orange scraped thin over pink. A pale peach block stands near the upper left, the middle clears to yellow-orange, and the lower left corner fades to rose. Broad sideways pulls of the knife stack down the whole height, with no single centre.
