About this painting

A fat yellow-and-black bumblebee hangs in mid-flight above a bed of cosmos, its veined wings painted almost clear against a glowing peach sky. Below it the blooms march across the width of the canvas in hot pink, white and lemon yellow, each petal laid on as a thick, separate slab of paint that stands off the surface.

Lavender spikes rise between the flowers, and the base breaks up into knife-dragged greens, teal and violet. The bee sits left of centre and faces right, so the picture reads like a slow movement along the flower bed.

CA#951 is an original colorful floral painting showing bumblebee hovering over pink, white and yellow cosmos flowers, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 11 standard sizes run from 36×18 in (91×46 cm) to 100×50 in (254×127 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

The long, low shape is made to run above a three-seat sofa, a banquette or a wide bed, spanning most of the furniture below it. In a restaurant, try the wall behind a row of booths, where diners pass it side-on and catch the petals in profile. Ceiling downlights set close to the wall make each thick petal throw a small shadow, which helps the flowers carry to the far side of a lobby.

Specified for lobby & reception, restaurant & bar, living room and dining room; it reads as uplifting and vibrant.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for CA#951 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 36×18 in to 100×50 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on CA#951 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Is the bumblebee in CA#951 painted as thickly as the flowers?

No. The body is built up in rounded strokes of yellow and black, but the wings are thin, nearly transparent veils with fine dark veins, so they stay light against the sky. The heaviest paint is in the cosmos petals and the green strokes along the bottom edge.

Does a bee and cosmos subject suit a café or restaurant wall?

Yes. Bees and garden flowers suggest honey, orchards and summer produce, so the subject sits naturally in a breakfast room, a café or a restaurant built around seasonal cooking. The wide format also fits above bench seating, where a tall canvas would be hidden behind diners' heads.

Is CA#951 a print or an original painting?

An original. CA#951 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of CA#951 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
