About this painting

Thousands of short upright dashes, packed in rows like stitches, shift from brick red at the top through a pale band of cream to sage and moss green at the bottom. The rows never run straight; they rise and dip in long waves, so the whole surface seems to ripple.

Each dash is a single raised stroke, and the dark ground showing through the gaps gives the pattern its beat. Up close the colours are mixed within each band: pinks and rusts in the red half, teal, olive and grey-green in the lower half, with cream dashes scattered through both.

AA#309 is an original abstract geometric painting showing grid of short vertical dashes fading from terracotta red into sage green, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

The red-to-green split lets it bridge two materials in one room, say terracotta tile or clay plaster above and sage upholstery or olive leather below. In a dining room, hang it on the wall the table faces so diners watch the colour turn as they sit. Its fine, repeating rhythm suits a plain wall in a guest suite or bedroom; keep patterned wallpaper and busy rugs away from it.

Specified for guest room & suite, workspace & office, dining room and bedroom; it reads as cozy & warm and uplifting.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for AA#309 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on AA#309 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

How does AA#309 move from red to green without a hard line?

Through a middle band of cream and blush dashes. Around the centre of the canvas the red rows thin out, cream strokes take over, and green dashes begin to appear among them, so the change happens over several rows rather than along a single edge.

Why do the rows of dashes in AA#309 look wavy?

Each row follows a gently curving path instead of a ruled line, and the rows above and below echo that curve. Stacked together, the curves form slow waves across the canvas, which keeps a very regular mark from looking mechanical.

Is AA#309 a print or an original painting?

An original. AA#309 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of AA#309 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
