About this painting

Broad strokes of navy, slate and sky blue cross and overlap with sweeps of white and cream, as if a wide brush had been driven up the canvas from a point near the bottom.

The marks fan outward from the lower centre, so the composition opens like a sheaf of leaves. Dark navy stands in tall bars at the upper left and pools again at the base, while the upper right is almost all white and cream. A single slate stroke cuts in from the right edge at mid height, and pale sky blue rests in the lower right corner. Paint gathers into soft ridges where each stroke ended.

AA#144 is an original abstract painting showing thick palette-knife strokes in navy, sky blue, white and cream, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

The upward sweep of its strokes leads toward the ceiling, so it earns a place at the closed end of an entrance corridor or in a narrow strip between two doors. Against white walls and pale grey stone it looks crisp; on warm off-white it softens. In a bedroom, choose the wall the bed faces: seen from the pillows, the navy base then sits at eye level each morning.

Specified for guest room & suite, entryway & hallway, living room and bedroom; it reads as bold and calming.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for AA#144 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on AA#144 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Is AA#144 more blue or more white?

Close to half and half, but the weight differs by area. White and cream fill the upper right and centre, while navy and slate gather at the upper left and bottom. At a distance it registers as a pale painting with dark accents, so it will not darken a wall.

What do the bristle marks in AA#144 look like up close?

Every stroke carries parallel grooves where the bristles dragged through wet paint, and where two colours crossed while still wet they streak into each other. Several white strokes hold faint blue lines inside them, left by a brush carrying colour from one mark into the next.

Is AA#144 a print or an original painting?

An original. AA#144 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of AA#144 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
