About this painting

Sprays of slender, pointed leaves cross and overlap over the whole canvas, each washed in teal, slate blue, mustard ochre or cream and traced with a fine dark outline. There is no single subject and no centre: fronds grow in from the edges on thin branching stems, and where leaves overlap the washes stack like coloured tissue, so a third, deeper tone appears. A warm beige ground shows through the palest leaves.

The paint is thin and translucent, with soft pooled edges as in watercolour, and the surface stays smooth. Blue leaves outnumber the ochre ones, which keeps the canvas cool with warm flashes scattered through it.

AA#790 is an original abstract floral painting showing overlapping blue, cream and ochre fern leaves in a watercolour-style pattern, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Because the pattern runs evenly to every edge, it holds up at close range: beside a freestanding bath, opposite a treatment bed, or on the bedside wall of a guest suite. Teal and beige meet travertine, pale oak, rattan and natural linen; the ochre leaves pick up brass fittings. In a bathroom, choose a ventilated wall away from shower spray. Soft daylight suits the translucent washes, while a tight spotlight flattens them into one tone.

Specified for spa & wellness, guest room & suite, bathroom and bedroom; it reads as calming and peaceful.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for AA#790 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Flat brushwork takes less paint and time than impasto or relief work of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on AA#790 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Why do the overlapping leaves of AA#790 look see-through?

Each leaf is a thin, translucent wash, and later washes are laid over earlier ones, so where two leaves cross both colours show, teal over cream or blue over ochre, making a darker third tone. It is a watercolour approach carried out in acrylic on canvas.

Which of AA#790's colours should a room repeat?

Lead with the slate blue or teal for tiles, upholstery or bedding and keep walls near the beige ground. Use the mustard ochre sparingly, in a cushion or a brass tap, since it is the minority colour; a room heavy in ochre makes the painting look colder than it is.

Is AA#790 a print or an original painting?

An original. AA#790 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of AA#790 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
