About this painting

Drifts of gold break across a field of dusky blue and apricot like sunlight catching on a weathered wall, heaviest at the upper left and across the lower right corner.

The canvas divides loosely on a diagonal: slate and periwinkle blue gather down the left side and along the bottom, while the right half warms through peach, pale rose and cream toward a soft yellow glow at the centre. The surface is a troweled, plaster-like crust, cracked and pitted, the gold sitting on its high points in torn, flaky patches. A small plum-coloured shard near the top and a wisp of sage green are the only darker notes.

AA#551 is an original abstract painting showing blue and peach colour field scattered with gold leaf flakes, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Warm and cool in nearly equal measure, it bridges rooms where one side is timber and the other stone or grey plaster: the passage outside a spa's treatment rooms, the bedhead wall of a suite with walnut joinery, or a living-room recess framed by dark cabinetry. A slim gold or brass frame picks up the flakes. At the larger sizes the tall format behaves almost like a window, so give it a wall with clear floor space below.

Specified for spa & wellness, guest room & suite, bedroom and living room; it reads as peaceful and romantic.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for AA#551 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on AA#551 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What is the small dark shape near the top of AA#551?

It is a plum and aubergine shard set into the blue just left of centre, the darkest mark on the canvas. It has no figurative meaning. It works as an anchor, giving the pale apricot and cream areas something to settle against, so the upper half does not read as one soft wash.

How does AA#551 sit with gold or brass fittings already in a room?

Comfortably, because the gold here is broken into small torn patches rather than laid as a solid band. Brushed brass lamps, champagne door hardware and a thin gold frame echo it without competing. Polished chrome looks cold beside it, so keep chrome off the same wall.

Is AA#551 a print or an original painting?

An original. AA#551 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of AA#551 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
