About this painting

A solid black block holds the upper left of AA#264, and thin white drips run straight down through it as if paint had spilled from the top edge and been left to fall.

To the right, pale grey and chalk-white slabs are stacked like layers of old whitewash, smooth in places and rough in others. Across the lower third runs a wide band of gritty, granular grey that looks rough enough to feel from a distance. A small black notch in the bottom right corner answers the big dark mass above, so the eye travels diagonally across the canvas.

AA#264 is an original abstract painting showing black and white abstract with gritty heavy-textured grey bands, drips and splatters, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

The black and grit give it enough weight for a restaurant wall seen across a full dining room, or the back bar, where the granular band stays legible even under low amber light. It belongs with concrete, blackened steel, smoked oak and worn leather. In a living room it looks stronger on charcoal or dark green paint than on bright white. In a lobby, place it where guests approach head on, so the drips read as clean vertical lines.

Specified for restaurant & bar, lobby & reception, living room and home office; it reads as moody and dramatic.

Pairs well with

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for AA#264 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on AA#264 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Does AA#264 need a colour partner in the room?

One warm partner helps more than a strictly monochrome scheme. On its own the black, grey and white can feel severe; cognac leather, walnut, brass or a rust throw stops it reading as cold while letting the texture stay in charge. In an all-grey room it tends to disappear into the walls.

Why is there a small black square in the lower right corner of AA#264?

It balances the large black block at top left. Without it every dark area would sit on one side and the canvas would seem to tip; the notch carries black diagonally across the picture, so the grey slabs and the gritty band sit between two dark anchors.

Is AA#264 a print or an original painting?

An original. AA#264 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of AA#264 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
