About this painting

Pale white strokes sweep across the lower half of a mottled sage green field, quick and diagonal, like wind passing over long grass.

The top two-thirds is quieter: deep green in the upper left corner, lightening through soft cloudy patches of sage toward the middle. Low down the white marks gather in short flicks and curved swipes, most of them leaning right, thinning again before the bottom edge. The paint is chalky and matte, troweled on in thin layers and pitted with tiny pinholes, so the green has the dusty look of weathered plaster rather than a smooth wash. Only two colours are used.

WA#254 is an original wabi-sabi painting showing sage green weathered plaster field with soft white strokes, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

A green wall is a big commitment; this gives a room the same effect on one canvas. It sits well behind a treatment bed, opposite a bath, or facing the chair that leads a meeting, with the busier white marks landing near seated eye level. Black metal, terracotta and travertine all sharpen it. Warm bulbs push the sage toward olive, while north daylight keeps it cool and grey-green.

Specified for spa & wellness, guest room & suite, meeting & boardroom and bedroom; it reads as calming and peaceful.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for WA#254 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on WA#254 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What are the white marks on WA#254?

Loose dry-brush and trowel strokes in a pale mint white, dragged over the green once it had set. They do not depict anything; they break up the lower half so the colour field has movement, and they catch side light more than the flatter green above.

Could the sage in WA#254 be made deeper, closer to forest green?

Yes. The sage can be deepened toward forest or moss, or lifted toward a lighter eucalyptus, while the white strokes keep their place low in the picture. A paint chip or a scrap of upholstery can be matched, and the shade is agreed from the stage photos before the canvas is finished.

Is WA#254 a print or an original painting?

An original. WA#254 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of WA#254 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
