About this painting

Long strokes of blush pink, terracotta and cream fall down the left half of the canvas like loosened ribbons, while the right half is left almost white.

The darkest note is a strip of rust brown along the lower left edge; from there the colour lightens step by step through salmon, sand and ivory toward the centre. One tall terracotta stroke tapers to a point near the bottom, and beside it a sage-grey cloud drifts across the white at mid-right, the only cool tone in the picture. The paint is thinned and the brush pulled lightly, so bristle lines and dry edges show where each stroke runs out.

WA#015 is an original wabi-sabi painting showing soft vertical blush, terracotta and cream brushstrokes on white, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Its colour is massed on the left and its right half is close to white, so it balances best where the pale side faces a window and the warm side leans toward a bed, lamp or console. On a limewashed wall in oatmeal or clay it nearly melts in; on crisp white it reads more clearly as rose and rust. A narrow pier beside a front door suits the upright format, as does a travertine wall behind a spa reception desk.

Specified for spa & wellness, guest room & suite, bedroom and entryway & hallway; it reads as peaceful and romantic.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for WA#015 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Flat brushwork takes less paint and time than impasto or relief work of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on WA#015 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Why is there a grey-green patch on the right of WA#015?

It is the only cool tone on the canvas, a sage-grey cloud brushed across the white at mid-right. Without it the blush and terracotta would run together into one warm wash; with it, the strokes on the left look warmer and the white looks cleaner.

Could WA#015 be painted with less terracotta for a cooler scheme?

Yes. The rust strip at lower left and the long terracotta stroke can be softened toward dusty rose while the blush, cream and sage-grey stay as they are. That gives a paler, cooler canvas for grey, stone or soft blue rooms, and the white right half keeps its openness.

Is WA#015 a print or an original painting?

An original. WA#015 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of WA#015 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
