About this painting

Gold and white collide in the middle of a soft grey canvas, the paint thickest where the two tangle into a knot of ridges, bronze shadow and a few slate-blue dabs.

From that knot the strokes run two ways: up into a broad champagne-gold field at the top right, and down in long vertical drags of white and pale gold that fall to the lower edge like a cascade. The upper left is the quiet side, pale grey with white knife-swept crests, and it keeps the composition from crowding. Under a ceiling light the gold takes on a soft shine while the white ridges cast small shadows.

TA#314 is an original textured painting showing thick white and gold palette-knife impasto ridges, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

Facing down the length of a boardroom table, where everyone seated on both sides can see it, the gold centre gives the room one bright point without competing with screens on the side walls. Walnut, brushed brass, smoked glass and camel leather all echo its bronze shadows. Use a warm downlight of 2700 to 3000K, because cool white LEDs flatten the gold towards beige. At the larger sizes it can also stand on the floor and lean against a living-room wall.

Specified for workspace & office, meeting & boardroom, home office and living room; it reads as cozy & warm.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#314 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#314 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What are the slate-blue shapes near the centre of TA#314?

Small dabs of blue-grey set into the gold knot just left of centre, the only cool colour in the painting. They read a little like stones under falling water and stop the gold from turning sweet, which is why a blue-grey cushion or vase in the room ties in so well.

How does the gold in TA#314 change through the day?

It shifts more than any other colour on the canvas. In bright midday light the gold passages look pale champagne and blend into the white; in evening or warm lamp light they deepen towards bronze and the shine becomes noticeable, so the painting reads warmer after dark.

Is TA#314 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#314 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#314 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
