About this painting

Twenty small rectangles of crusted paint are set on a flat olive ground in four rows of five, each one like a scrap of tree bark or tarnished bronze.

Up close every tile has its own weather: some run to rust and chestnut, some to moss green, a few carry chalky white streaks, and their crumpled, scraped surfaces catch light along the ridges. Their edges are ragged rather than cut, which keeps the grid from feeling mechanical, and the smooth matte green around them is the quiet counterweight to all that texture.

TA#431 is an original textured geometric painting showing grid of twenty small rust and green textured relief tiles, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a sculpted relief surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

The grid suits rooms that already have an order of their own: a boardroom wall aligned with a long table, a study with shelving in a similar rhythm, a reception with panelled joinery. Its olive ground sits well with warm plaster, raw linen, leather and dark-stained oak, and stays strong on a concrete wall. Centre it on the furniture beneath rather than on the wall, so the four rows line up with what is below them.

Specified for meeting & boardroom, workspace & office, home office and living room; it reads as moody and cozy & warm.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for TA#431 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Because the surface is not rolled, the choice is between stretched, ready to hang, and stretched in a frame; a frame costs more.
Surface
Sculpted relief is built up in layers with drying time between them, so it costs more than a flat painting of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on TA#431 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

What gives each tile of TA#431 a different look?

The mix of rust, olive, chestnut and chalky white changes from tile to tile, and so does the handling: some are scraped in long vertical drags, others crumpled and pitted. Seen together they read like a sample board of weathered surfaces, bark, moss and corroded metal, held in one grid.

Can the olive ground of TA#431 be changed to another colour?

Yes. The ground is flat colour, so it can be painted charcoal, deep navy, terracotta or another shade from a scheme while the rust, olive and bronze tiles stay as they are. A darker ground makes the tiles glow; a pale one turns the grid into a lighter, gallery-like display.

Is TA#431 a print or an original painting?

An original. TA#431 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of TA#431 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
