About this painting

Five tulips rise on long green stems against a scraped wash of hot pink, sky blue and turquoise, each cup darkening to near-black at its base. Two are deep orange, one pale pink, one magenta and one golden yellow, staggered so no two heads sit at the same height.

The blooms and leaves are smooth and softly modelled, almost glassy, while the background around them is broken into rough knife scrapes. Lower down the stems vanish into a dark meadow of lavender spikes, blue blossoms and small orange daisies, so the bright heads float above a shadowed base.

CA#979 is an original colorful floral painting showing five yellow and pink tulips over sunflowers on a pink-blue knife ground, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas with a heavily textured impasto surface. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

With its dark lower third, it hangs best with the bottom edge low, about 20 to 30 cm above a console, bench or sideboard, so the shadowed meadow meets the furniture and the tulip heads land near standing eye level. Spring flowers suit a hotel breakfast room or a restaurant wall beside a seasonal menu board. A slim black frame contains the busy edges, and matte black hardware nearby echoes the dark bases.

Specified for lobby & reception, restaurant & bar, living room and entryway & hallway; it reads as vibrant and uplifting.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for CA#979 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Thick impasto uses more paint and takes longer to dry than flat brushwork, which the price reflects.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on CA#979 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Why do the tulips in CA#979 have dark bases?

Many tulip varieties have a dark blotch where the petals meet the stem, and the painting exaggerates it into deep shadow. It makes each bloom look lit from above and ties the bright heads to the dark undergrowth at the bottom of the canvas.

How do the smooth tulips and scraped background of CA#979 behave in side light?

The background's knife scrapes catch small ridges and broken edges, while the petals and leaves stay smooth and even. So the blooms appear to stand forward of a rougher screen of colour, which adds depth without heavy relief.

Is CA#979 a print or an original painting?

An original. CA#979 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of CA#979 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
