About this painting

A pale yellow shape with a striped rim and dark, handle-like cut-outs holds the middle of a busy cubist composition, almost like an urn, flanked by black hatched cones, a chequered tan column and a peach cloud above. Teal zigzags, mustard orange flames and a lime green tuft fill the gaps, all on a warm grey ground with a thin mustard border.

Much of it looks drawn rather than painted: fine dark hatching fills the cones and the striped orange forms at the base, and dry-brushed edges leave a papery grain. The canvas is flat throughout, so the texture is visual, built from line.

AA#720 is an original abstract geometric painting showing cubist collage-like shapes in sage, peach, orange and teal with hatching, hand-painted in acrylic on canvas. It is painted to order in any size; the 14 standard sizes run from 20×24 in (51×61 cm) to 60×80 in (153×203 cm). Painting takes about 10 days and delivery 5–7 days by DHL, FedEx or UPS; the minimum order is one piece.

Where it works

With so many shapes, the surrounding wall should stay quiet: warm white, oatmeal or pale putty, with furniture in light oak, cane or sage. In a design studio or a creative agency reception it gives people something to puzzle over while they wait. Its mustard and peach pick up camel leather or a clay pot, and the teal links to a single blue-green accent. Hang it at standing eye level, where the drawn detail can be read up close.

Specified for workspace & office, gallery & retail, home office and entryway & hallway; it reads as uplifting.

These share its palette, format and surface, so the three hang as a set: a run along a hotel corridor, a pair either side of a bed with this one between, or one per suite on the same floor.

Sizes & scale

Width × height. These are the sizes ordered most often; any other size is painted to order, with the composition redrawn to your proportions. A common rule: art about two-thirds the width of the sofa, bed or console beneath it.

What affects the price

Trade prices for AA#720 are quoted per order rather than listed, and come back within one business day. Four things set the figure:

Size
Price follows canvas area. The standard sizes run from 20×24 in to 60×80 in; any other size is quoted the same way.
Finish
Rolled canvas is the lowest-cost way to buy and ship. Stretched, ready to hang, costs more, and a frame costs the most.
Surface
Flat brushwork takes less paint and time than impasto or relief work of the same size.
Quantity
Volume pricing starts at 10 pieces: the same design for every room on a floor, each one painted individually, or a mix of works.

Shipping is not included in the price; its cost is confirmed with you before the piece ships. Ask for a price on AA#720 on WhatsApp →

Questions buyers ask

Is there a vase hidden in AA#720?

Loosely. The pale yellow centre has a striped rim and two dark cut-outs on either side that read like handles, so many people see an urn or vase, with the surrounding shapes as plants or figures. The composition stays abstract, though, and each viewer pieces it together a little differently.

How is the fine striping on AA#720 done?

By hand, line by line: fine dark strokes drawn over dry colour, much the way pencil shading builds up. It covers the black cones on the left, the chequered column on the right and the two orange forms at the base, giving those areas an engraved quality next to the flat blocks.

Is AA#720 a print or an original painting?

An original. AA#720 is hand-painted in acrylic on canvas when you order it — nothing in the iHomeArt catalogue is printed or held in stock. The photographs show an earlier canvas of the same design, so the brushwork on yours will differ slightly.

Will several copies of AA#720 match across rooms?

They read as a set: every copy is painted from the same composition and palette. Each one is still painted by hand, so the brushwork differs slightly from piece to piece. Progress photos at each stage let you compare them before the next stage starts, and volume pricing begins at 10 pieces.

Will the colours match what I see on screen?

Screens shift colour, so the photographs here are a guide rather than a swatch. You see progress photos or video at each stage and approve a photograph of the finished canvas before it leaves. Moving the palette towards your scheme is normal: send a photo of a paint chip, a fabric swatch or the room on WhatsApp.
